Newborn kittens should nurse from their mother whenever possible until at least three weeks of age. When necessary, Ducats Care Milk may replace mother’s milk during this period. First, weigh the kitten to identify its body weight and determine the amount to offer per day and per feeding. Monitor the kitten’s body weight to ensure that it is receiving proper nutrition. These recommendations are guidelines only and may vary according to the kitten’s individual needs and as directed by a veterinarian.

SHAKE THE CAN WELL BEFORE OPENING. ONCE OPENED, MIX THOROUGHLY WITH A SPOON OR WHISK BEFORE SERVING. Bottle-feeding may be safer and easier. Offer the amount recommended in the table at room temperature or slightly warmed (37 to 38°C). AT EACH FEEDING, MAKE SURE THE KITTEN IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION (BELLY DOWN) BEFORE FEEDING. After each feeding, carefully stimulate the genital area and anus with a cotton ball or cloth moistened with warm water to encourage urination and defecation.
